Review

A ‘deck’ of cigarettes: have you ever in your life heard anyone use that expression? Me neither. A ‘deuce and a half’ in reference to a car? Was this some 70s thing that I missed, or a DC thing, or a DC in the 70s thing? I guess the language in this novel is all sorts of colorful, and the plot has a sort of noir feel, but it left me feeling a bit flat and ready for it to be over.
