Review
This is number 13 in the Montalbano series, and in some ways the best so far. The Montalbano character is getting old, and he doesn’t like it. He’s lost his edge, and it has affected his leadership of his team. But when faced with a crisis he is still able to use guile and cunning to save the day.
Once again, there is great humor, great food, well drawn characters, and a terrific translation. As always, I recommend starting with the first book in the series so as not to miss out on the character development.
