Review

This is extracted from a set of interviews that Stone conducted with Tariq Ali some time after the production of ‘South of the Border’. The conversation is about the rise and likely fall of the US empire in the 20th century, the rise and fall of the Soviet Union, the new Bolivarian movement in Latin America, the role of world wars 1 and 2 in the creation of the US empire (and not coincidentally, the decline of the British empire).

It’s a very short book, and well worth reading.
