Review
No surprises here (and that’s good!): a hard boiled ex reporter with a past, sleazy developers, corrupt cops, crusading environmentalists, overweight tourists, and dumbass rednecks. All the necessary ingredients. This time the rednecks are merely hapless rather than vicious, and one of the environmentalists is a little trigger happy. But for the most part this novel fits easily into the Hiassen formula - and there’s nothing wrong with that.
